In the finale of Season 2, in the city of Falme, Mat Cauthon blows the Horn of Valere, and Artur Hawkwing appears at the head of an array of misty figures called The Heroes of the Horn. Hawkwing tells Mat that he has fought by his side “times beyond number.” and, with mat and the other Heroes, charges the Seanchan soldiers.
