An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, Moiraine Damodred was born in Cairhien. Portrayed by Rosamund Pike, she is one of the central figures of The Wheel of Time, appearing from the first episode as both guide and manipulator in the story of the Dragon Reborn.
Moiraine is a woman of immense strength, composure, and secrecy. She dedicates her life to finding and protecting the Dragon Reborn — the one prophesied to either save or destroy the world. As an Aes Sedai who can channel Saidar, she is powerful and bound by the Oaths of her Order. Her calm determination hides the deep cost of the burdens she carries.
